Where to open a bank account in 6 months after arrival? {剛抵步不足6個月,如何開設銀行戶口？}
You may hear that most of the banks in Japan are basically just accepting foreigners who already stayed for at least 6 months to open a savings account in their banks. However, there are still some exceptions and the following allow new arrivals to open a bank account in their banks.

If you are thinking of collecting money from non-America or European countries, you may consider having another bank account opened because they only provide limited foreign currency deposit services of US and Euro.
